NHS Talking Therapies High-Intensity Trainee (CBT) - Band 6
£44,485 - £52,521 Inc HCAS per annum pro rata
12 months (1 Year Fixed Term or 1 Year Secondment) - 37.5 hrs per week
The training programme consists of working three days per week in the Bromley Talking Therapies service and two days per week undertaking the PG Dip in CBT course at Royal Holloway University of London. There is an expectation from Royal Holloway and Bromley Talking Therapies that successful applicants will stay in their posts and complete the training, which will last till early 2027. Contracts of employment will be at a Band 6 or equivalent and fixed-term/secondment for one year whilst training.

Psychological therapy services across London are now recruiting CBT High Intensity Trainees as part of the NHS Talking Therapies programme. These services deliver evidence-based psychological therapies for people with anxiety and depression.
Are you an experienced mental health professional or social care worker with a recognised professional qualification working in a mental health setting? Have you considered training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)?
Applications are invited from qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychological Therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to apply for the one-year full-time Postgraduate Diploma in CBT course based at Royal Holloway University, London.
Applicants without a core mental health profession (such as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or counsellors without UKCP or BACP accreditation) must be able to meet the required KSA process criteria.
