We are currently looking for a generic rehabilitation assistant to join a well-established multidisciplinary team within Therapy and Rehabilitation Services at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) in Central London .
We are looking for people with initiative, organisational abilities and a mature approach who can work under the supervision of the multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team. You must be enthusiastic about assisting people of differing abilities and willing to help patient to undertake a range of practical aspects of personal and daily life. You need to have a flexible approach and be able to adapt to different work areas.
This post offers the postholder the opportunity to work across a number of service areas: stroke, neuro-rehabilitation, acute neuro-medical and neuro-surgery. The post holder will move across these areas to support the demand in each team.

Applicants should have a good general education. Previous experience in a healthcare or community care environment is essential.
Effective communication and a positive approach to the management of complex disability are essential.
Regular supervision and support for continued professional development is offered, and the opportunity to work on projects within your peer group.
