Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering safe and effective care to all patients. This is supported by the highly specialised Acute Response Team; who’s primary role is managing the deteriorating patient across the Blackpool Victoria Hospital site.
The Team provides ‘out of hours’ cover, to manage acutely unwell patients across the Blackpool Victoria Hospital site, supporting medical and ward staff, responding to medical emergencies and cardiac arrest calls. In addition, the team respond to calls to autonomously manage the deteriorating patient as well as undertake routine ‘medical tasks’ to ensure continuity of care, to guarantee 24/7 high quality care.
