Trac proudly powers the recruitment for
Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust
About
Join Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, an integrated provider of acute and community services. The Trust’s main site, Manor Hospital, is in the heart of the town serving a population estimated at 286,700 residents in 2021 (2021 Census).
As a District General Hospital, the Trust primarily serves the immediate population of Walsall with some patients requiring more specialised treatment at other, neighbouring Trusts.
We provide high quality, friendly and effective community health services from multiple sites across Walsall. Our multidisciplinary services include rapid response in the community and home-based care, helping people with long-term conditions and frail older people to remain in their own homes wherever appropriate. This integrated model means colleagues can make a real difference across hospital and community settings. Walsall is a culturally diverse metropolitan borough. Understanding our community’s health needs helps us deliver services that make a real difference.
Our values of Respect, Compassion, Professionalism and Teamwork guide everything we do. These values shape how we work with patients, colleagues and partners every day, and they are central to how we recruit and support our people. We are recommended by colleagues as a place to work.
We support a range of flexible working arrangements for all employees and prospective applicants, recognising that flexibility is central to an inclusive and sustainable workforce. The Trust works collaboratively with Black Country and West Birmingham Integrated Care Systems, supporting ongoing flexible working across the partnership as we redesign services for our integrated future.
With a growing population and increasing demand for healthcare services, this is an exciting time to join our Trust. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your career while contributing to improved health outcomes for our community.
The work we do is highly rewarding, and in addition to an attractive salary, we offer a valuable range of benefits, including:
• salary sacrifice scheme
• car leasing scheme
• on-site staff accommodation subject to availability
• the ability to retain your NHS pension where applicable or the opportunity to join an alternative scheme
• the opportunity to develop and implement your expertise in an encouraging yet challenging environment
We actively encourage applications from people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and from people with disabilities. These groups are currently under-represented at senior level, and we are committed to achieving equality in our recruitment through concrete actions including diverse interview panels and guaranteed interview schemes for disabled candidates. Our selection approach is fair, consistent and focused on role-related skills and potential.
