Job overview
We are recruiting for a motivated, well organised, enthusiastic and flexible Administrator to work alongside our Band 4 Senior Administrator, to provide support to the Community Integrated Discharge team. This is a busy and friendly team which is based in the hospital working with other organisations in an open plan office.
The successful applicant will be required to access hospital and community IT systems to gather patient information and ensure robust and correct activity reporting. Both written and verbal communication skills are required as telephone answering will be an important part of this role.
Applicants must have a good working knowledge and experience of MS Office packages such as Word and Excel.
Attention to detail and accuracy is essential as is a flexible approach to work i.e. ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team in a busy environment.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To design flyers/promotional posters and advertisements for publications and displays.
To assist with the production of agendas and papers for meetings
Participate in meetings, taking accurate and concise minutes.
Contribute to service development
Manages own workload where possible and guided by SOP’s/policies and procedures
Communication
- Conduct telephone calls and messages in a timely, courteous and professional manner, ensuring appropriate actions are taken as required.
- Ensure all contacts with patients are documented in the records in line with the record keeping policy.
- Prioritise workload and liaise with clinicians to resolve conflicting appointments as per service pathways.
