Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Microsoft 365 Developer who will oversee and support the management of M365 applications, services and infrastructure.
The post holder will design, develop and implement M365 solutions which are tailored to meet business requirements and collaborate with colleagues to integrate M365 applications into existing systems. They will also customise and extend Teams, Power BI, Dataverse, PowerAutomate and other associated M365 components and troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to M365 applications
The post will be based at either Conquest Hospital, St Leonards or Eastbourne DGH with the occasional requirement to travel to other sites and opportunities for remote working.

Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, Power Platform and associated tools and underlying technologies.
They will have experience of enabling change by defining needs and recommending solutions and be confident in using a range of business analysis and change management processes, tools and techniques.
They will be able to communicate complex and sensitive information and be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across all levels of the organisation. Previous NHS experience would also be beneficial.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good general level of education including GCSE Maths and English
- Educated to degree level or equivalent level of work experience and knowledge in a relevant field
- Evidence of continual professional development within a technical sphere
Desirable criteria
- Microsoft Certified: Developer Associate (or similar)
- Project Management qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of enabling change in an organisational context, by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to people
- Experience of application of a range of investigative/ business analysis and change management processes, tools and techniques
- Proven experience as an M365 Developer or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, Power Platform and associated tools and underlying technologies
Desirable criteria
- Experience of delivering solutions using key NHS applications including ESR, ERS, PAS, EPR, TRAC, NHS jobs
- Experience of engaging with customers on a consultative basis
- Networking contacts within the ICT industry
- Experience of working with organisations that are new to adopting digital solutions
- Experience with integrating M365 services with third party applications and systems
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of developing custom solutions using Microsoft technologies such as Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- Ability to identify and articulate the need for change
- Ability to identify and define the solutions that will maximise the value delivered by an organisation to its staff and patients
- Strong understanding of information architecture, security, and compliance principles (preferably within the M365 ecosystem)
- Skills for communication on complex / sensitive information and administrative matters, requiring developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
