Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is situated on the west coast of Lancashire, with services covering the local authority areas of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. The Trust is part of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS) supporting a population of around 1.6 million people.
We have three main hospitals providing acute services to around 330,000 local residents. The organisation also provides specialist tertiary care for cardiac and haematology services, delivers community health services to over 445,000 residents including those in North Lancashire and hosts the National Artificial Eye Service across England. Job overview
This post is based with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The post holder will work closely with the team to provide a full administrative and secretarial service. Key tasks for the post holder are the co-ordination and provision of administrative support to non-medical staff within the service including the managing of appointments systems, handling client information etc. The post holder will also participate in co-ordination of office cover within the Team.
Please note this role will not be eligible for sponsorship as it doesn't meet the minimum salary requirements for a skilled worker visa, therefore you must have appropriate right to work in the UK or your application will not be progressed to the next stage of Recruitment.

To provide a comprehensive secretarial, administrative and information service to the CAMHS Clinical and Duty Teams, in respect of managing of appointments, dealing with correspondence, composing as required routine and non-routine letters and other documentation related to the service i.e. reports, and taking personal responsibility for confidential issues.
Maintain and update clinical and non-clinical electronic systems.
Respect and maintain confidentiality of patient information, ensuring all typed patient records are correctly stored on CAMHS patient electronic information system, and telephone conversations are not overheard by the public.
To liaise with Clinicians when receiving queries from families, healthcare, social care professionals and other agencies.
Responsible for using own initiative to prioritise, plan, action and complete personal day to day work in line with local and national access and waiting targets.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Responsible for using own initiative to prioritise, plan, action and complete personal day to day work in line with local and national access and waiting targets.
Support the local induction of new administrative team members, including one to one training on software packages and office procedures.
Receive telephone calls from i.e. parents, GPs, Schools, Health and Social Care agencies.
Maintain a working knowledge of child protection procedures, reporting any concerns to Clinician/Manager.
Assist in ordering NHS supplies via NHS Supply chain and E-Procurement.
Under instruction from Admin Manager respond in a timely manner to Subject Access Requests received from the Data Access Team within strict time constraints
