Join Our Acute Paediatrics Team
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner (APNP) to join our dynamic Acute Paediatrics service. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician to work autonomously, lead advanced practice, and make a meaningful impact on the care of children and young people in a fast-paced acute setting.

About the Role
As an APNP in Acute Paediatrics, you will:
- Provide expert clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management of children presenting with acute illness.
- Work autonomously while collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team.
- Lead on clinical decision‑making, including prescribing and ordering/ interpreting investigations (as appropriate to your qualifications).
- Support service development, quality improvement, and evidence‑based practice.
- Contribute to education, mentorship, and development of junior staff and students.
- Participate in rota commitments, including evenings and weekends, to support 24/7 service delivery.
About You
You will be a confident, compassionate, and forward‑thinking practitioner with:
- A recognised Master’s level qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent).
- Independent prescribing qualification (V300) or working towards it.
- Extensive experience in acute paediatrics, emergency paediatrics, or paediatric critical care.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and manage complex clinical presentations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teaching skills.
- A commitment to delivering high‑quality, child‑centred care.

- Post Graduate qualification at Masters level in advanced clinical practice, (working towards) or Completion of NHSE advanced practice eportfolio (working towards)
