As the wholly owned subsidiary of the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, we provide the outpatient pharmacy service at the Lister Hospital, the New QEII Hospital and the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. We’re proud to deliver efficient and innovative ways of working, as well as improving our patient experience to meet our vision of making things better for patients, staff and the community. Our team comprises of Pharmacy Managers, Pharmacists, Accuracy Checking Technicians, Technicians and Dispenser and Healthcare Assistants and as a team we are proud to deliver the following services:

 

  • Clinical screening, including Oral Chemotherapy.
  • Private Pharmacy Services including Health Checks, Smoking Cessation, Travel & Flu Vaccinations.
  • Retail offering, including Over the Counter advice.
  • Home Delivery Service.
  • Additional appliance services

Job overview

YourHealth Pharmacy, ENH Pharma Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Procurement Lead Technician on a full time (40 hours per week), permanent basis to oversee the efficient purchasing and supply of pharmaceuticals across all company sites. The position will be based at the Lister Hospital, Stevenage however travel to other ENH Pharma Ltd sites may be required.

This role is central to ensuring robust stock control, financial governance, invoice reconciliation, and audit processes aligned with Company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The successful candidate will also provide leadership and operational support to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-focused pharmacy services.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and detail-orientated professional with strong experience in pharmacy procurement, stock management and financial governance.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in pharmacy procurement and medicines supply management
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical and stock control systems
  • Experience working with procurement platforms such as CMU, Wellsky and Powergate
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and financial reconciliation skills
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities
  • A commitment to patient safety, efficiency and service quality

The postholder will report to the Superintendent Pharmacist and will work closely alongside the site Pharmacy Managers. 

Whilst the role is based at Lister Hospital, Stevenage, travel to other Company sites may be required.

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification: Certificate in Pharmacy Services
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
  • Substantial post registration experience in hospital pharmacy procurement or equivalent relevant area of practice.
Desirable criteria
  • Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPs) qualification
