Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts. We provide a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London and as well as specialist care for patients from further afield including cancer, renal, orthopaedic, respiratory and cardiovascular services.
Guy’s is home to the largest dental school in Europe and a £160 million Cancer Centre opened in 2016. As part of our commitment to provide care closer to home, in 2017 we also opened a cancer centre and a kidney treatment centre at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup. St Thomas’ has one of the largest critical care units in the UK and one of the busiest emergency departments in London. It is also home to Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
Evelina London cares for local children in Lambeth and Southwark and provides specialist services across south east England including cardiac, renal and critical care services. We lead a number of specialist service networks aiming to ensure children are treated locally where possible, but have access to specialist expertise when they need it. Our community services include health visiting, school nursing and support for families of children with long-term conditions.
Our adult community services teams deliver care at the heart of the local communities we serve, working in partnership with GPs, local authorities and other healthcare and voluntary sector organisations. Working with our partners in Lambeth and Southwark, we are focusing on new ways of working to improve care for local patients.
In February 2021 the Royal Brompton and Harefield joined Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, bringing together world-leading expertise in the care and research of heart and lung disease. Our merger provides a once in a generation opportunity to build a lasting, world-renowned heart and lung centre, providing the highest quality care for patients and conducting world-leading research.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and hardworking Band 7 Sister/Charge Nurse to lead the team on Aston Key Ward, a high-functioning ward with Gold Accreditation.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and supporting staff development. You will provide strong clinical and managerial leadership, ensuring the ward runs safely, efficiently, and in line with Trust values.

An exciting opportunity for a Urology Ward Sister/Charge Nurse - Aston Key Ward!
We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and motivated nurse with excellent communication skills and experience of working with urology surgical patients. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skills.
The urology department at Guy's Hospital is a unit providing the best specialist treatment to urology patients in the country at every stage of their journey. The nursing team provides an essential support to the patient experience and to the clinicians involved.
The successful applicant will be expected to work in partnership within the Transplantation, Renal and Urology team. This will provide the opportunity to develop leadership skills, experience working with clinicians and supporting Urology patients. As a Sister/Charge Nurse you will be expected to promote and demonstrate the Trust values and behaviours within your role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment, planning and provision of urology nursing care.
You will provide clinical supervision to other staff and junior learners including students and apprentice nursing associates. You will help to coordinate care on the unit and support others in the team to do so, acting as a role model by adhering to the Trust values and holding others to the same standard.
You will take part in unit-based audits, contribute to clinical change and support clinical excellence. You will also contribute to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of services users, by always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of person-centred care principles.
