We are seeking an enthusiastic Psychologist who can support the delivery of psychological assessment, formulation and interventions within the Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT) based in Gloucestershire. This is with the aim of reducing the risk to others in the community. The successful Psychologist will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including OT, Psychiatry, Nursing and Social Work. The role is community based so will require travel to independent homes, supported accommodation provisions as well as various psychiatric hospitals. The candidate will therefore need access to their own transport and have a valid driving licence.

• To carry a clinical caseload and provide a direct service for complex psychological/risk issues. 

• To be involved in team meetings whereby formulations are  developed, clinical case reviews are facilitated, and risk consultations are completed.

• To assess and manage risk within an appropriate psychological (SPJ) framework e.g. HCR-20, RSVP, SRP, SARA.

• To draw appropriately from a range of assessment tools and methodologies.

• To interpret and integrate complex data and information from a variety of sources to develop psychological formulations and identify the most relevant intervention strategy. To monitor and evaluate progress, refining formulations and interventions as necessary.

• To plan and prioritise workload, exercising autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and discharge of clients.

• To work primarily within a multi-disciplinary approach/team where a variety of opinions and expertise is brought to bear on a situation.

• To maintain appropriate records in electronic or hard copy in line with Trust policies and Professional guidelines. Includes workload data and using word processing skills to produce client related reports.
