With an ever-increasing demand for urgent and emergency care we are seeking to expand and develop our Emergency Practitioner workforce and would welcome applications from Emergency Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Paramedic Practitioners and Advanced Clinical Practitioners to join our clinical team in the Urgent Treatment Centre.
The Urgent Care Centre, co located in the Emergency Department provides access to emergency nursing and medical care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Clinicians in the Emergency Department treat patients with life threatening, urgent and emergency conditions along with illnesses and injuries in all age groups.
The Emergency Department at UCLH cared for 161,000 patients last year, making it one of the busiest Emergency Departments in London. Over 85,00 of these patients were treated in the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC).

As a clinician within the Urgent Treatment Centre you will work as an independent, autonomous practitioner providing consistent high quality, evidence based, timely, patient centred care. Responsible for utilising expert diagnostic and clinical skills to provide autonomous, unscheduled medical care and management of a diverse range of patients with acute undifferentiated and undiagnosed illnesses and injuries.

Post holders are required to work day and night duties and pro rata weekends and bank holidays.

- Minor Injuries qualification accredited at level 6 or above.
