We are seeking an experienced, SCPHN-qualified practitioner to join Bromley Healthcare’s Children’s Safeguarding Team as a Children’s Safeguarding Advisor.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated professional with a passion for safeguarding children and improving outcomes for families. Working across a range of multi-agency settings, you will support the delivery of local and national safeguarding priorities, legislation and best practice.
You will provide expert safeguarding advice, supervision, training and professional leadership to staff, promoting high-quality, child-centred practice across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing safeguarding advice and support to Bromley Healthcare staff.
- Delivering safeguarding supervision in line with organisational policy.
- Designing and delivering safeguarding training.
- Supporting information sharing through the MASH/Children and Families Hub.
- Contributing to MARAC processes.
- Promoting safeguarding learning, best practice and continuous improvement.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and motivated practitioner to join our Children’s Safeguarding Team as a Safeguarding Children Specialist Advisor.
This is an exciting opportunity for an advanced practitioner, SCPHN Trained, who is passionate about safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and families. The post holder will provide expert leadership, advice, supervision, and training to staff across Bromley Healthcare, ensuring high-quality safeguarding practice in line with national guidance and local priorities.
You will work closely with multi-agency partners, contributing to robust safeguarding processes, risk assessments, and service improvement initiatives. The role includes active participation in the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), MARAC, and other safeguarding forums.
The Safeguarding Children Specialist Advisor is an advanced practitioner expected to demonstrate excellence in safeguarding practice and clinical leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing evidence-based advice, support, supervision, and training to staff working with children and families
- Ensuring safeguarding supervision is delivered in line with organisational policy
- Working collaboratively across multi-agency statutory and non-statutory services to safeguard children and promote their welfare
- Undertaking responsibilities in line with the Intercollegiate Document (2025) and Working Together To Safeguarding Children ( 2026), Domestic Abuse Act ( 2021) and Children Act ( 1989/2004)
- Supporting staff through complex safeguarding cases and providing expert consultation
- Participating in MASH, MARAC, and multi-agency case discussions
- Contributing to Serious Case Reviews, Learning Reviews, and Internal Management Reviews
- Representing health services in safeguarding forums and networks
- Promoting professional curiosity, reflective practice, and continuous improvement
The post holder will also:
- Ensure the voice of the child remains central in all safeguarding activity
- Promote equality, inclusion, and anti-discriminatory practice
- Support audit, quality assurance, and the Clinical Governance Framework
