About
We provide a full range of acute clinical services from Northampton General Hospital and Danetre Hospital in Daventry. We are a designated cancer centre and have recently invested in a number of additional specialist services, including in-patient renal services and interventional cardiology. All elective inpatients and emergency admissions are screened for MRSA. As part of our work to improve clinical outcomes we are taking part in a national patient safety programme and have invested in systems to capture patients views on the service we provide. We understand that sometimes a small change can make a big difference for patients.

Various Catering Bank Positions
We have an exciting opportunity for catering Bank position to cover all areas of our catering department, Patient Catering Ward Host, Patient Catering Porter/Assistant and Retail Catering Assistant.
We are looking for individuals that can work varying shifts Monday - Sunday across different departments.
To provide high standards of both food and customer services to patients, Staff and visitors in accordance to best care practices.
Duties will include providing breakfast, lunch and supper meal time services including beverages whilst ensuring the ward and kitchen environments are kept to an acceptable level of cleanliness.

- As a patient catering host you will help to enhance our patient well-being and their experience in the hospital.

- To carry out Portering of food around the hospital site by the use of trollies and electrical vehicles, manual moving of food trollies.
Retail Catering Assistant
The work involves general catering duties including preparation of food, service of food to patients, staff and the public, use of EPOS systems and the cleaning of and use of equipment and machinery, and the operation of mechanical industrial type dishwashing machines.

- To communicate with Patients and visitors over their food choices and issues with the service that is being delivered in a tactful and courteous manner.

- Carry out cleaning duties and maintain hygiene levels to ensure Food Hygiene Legislation, Environmental Health Officer requirements and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Procedures are conformed to and maintained.
