This role is available as a B6 post or a B6 development post.
Have you had a minimum of 1 year’s experience?
Are you in the process of completing or near the end of the first year of your preceptorship?
Are you starting to look for an opportunity to further develop your skills and specialise clinically in a specific area such as MSK or the At Risk foot?
If you are applying as a development post it will commence on a B6 Annex U. Therefore you will be paid 70% of entry point on a B6 & when competencies achieved you will move to entry point on B6 scale.

This post is based in both community setting & acute settings cross county and you will be working in conjunction with the foot protection team with access to the MDT , MSK team and also hold a domiciliary caseload. Your work will be focused on undertaking podiatry assessments, contributing to treatment planning and clinical treatments following evidence based clinical pathways in the foot and ankle pathways.
The post holder will also be required to attend meetings or training across East Sussex therefore being a car driver / owner is essential for this post.
You will be part of a friendly, supportive, professional team, and will be fully supported to develop your professional skills and areas of special clinical interest.. You will be actively involved with student placements

Qualifications

- Podiatrist registered with the Health Professions Council
- Educated to Podiatry Degree level or equivalent
- Further post graduate studies in clinical areas pertinent to post such as diabetes, wound care and biomechanics to a post graduate diploma level or equivalent experience

- National Clinical Leadership Development (LEO)
- ECDL
- Non Medical Prescriber (NMP) undertake prescribing duties within scope of prescribing practice
Experience

- A minimum of two years post registration experience working within Community and Acute settings
- Experience of undertaking new patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment
- Development of specialised programmes of care
- Previous experience of Diabetic foot care/wound management/vascular assessment
- Previous experience of locomotion and gait disorders
- Previous experience of nail Surgery and local anaesthetics
- Previous experience of orthotic manufacture and prescription
