Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is one of the region's busiest providers of healthcare. It was formed on 1 April 1998 following a merger between East Surrey Healthcare NHS and Crawley Horsham NHS Trusts. We are often referred to as 'SASH'.
We run East Surrey Hospital in Redhill, where we have more than 700 beds and provide acute and complex services. In addition, we provide a range of outpatient, diagnostic and less complex planned services at The Earlswood Centre, Caterham Dene Hospital, Crawley Hospital and Horsham Hospital.
Every year, over 120,000 people attend our Emergency Department, we deliver nearly 4,000 babies and almost half a million people have outpatient appointments with us.
We are a major local employer, with a diverse workforce of around 5,500 staff providing healthcare services to a growing population of some 744,000 people.

Job overview
Bank Staff Support Required
We are requesting the use of bank staff to support the Housekeeping Department at East Surrey Hospital. This support would help maintain daily housekeeping coverage and ensure that essential cleaning duties continue to be completed consistently across the department when our fulltime staff are out of the business due to leave or any other.
Bank staff support would provide additional flexibility within the service and help cover the daily operational needs of the Housekeeping Department. This would support the team in maintaining housekeeping standards, helping to provide a clean, safe, and well-presented environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Proposed Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday (5 days a week)

07:00am to 15:00pm (7.5 hours per day)
- Weekend work is currently not required
This support would assist with maintaining consistent service delivery and ensuring housekeeping duties are completed to the required standard.
