We are looking to add experienced Dieticians to our bankpool at Blackpool Hopsital
At Blackpool Teaching Hospitals you would have opportunities to develop your professional capability by networking with other dietitians working into multiple service areas across the Trust. There will be opportunities to utilise all aspects of your knowledge and skill base and to contribute to the strong and growing presence of dietetics in the Trust.
You will be provided with a laptop to enable remote working where appropriate to service needs and a good work-life balance. You will work within a team which will include - Rehab Consultant, OT, Physio, Speech and Language Therapy, Case Manager, Nursing, Rehab Assistants and Admin Support.
We have a forward looking senior leadership team in the Trust who support a compassionate model of leadership that we would wish to see applied in developing the remit of this role.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To act as a specialist dietitian and a lead clinician within the integrated community stroke and neuro rehabilitation service; a responsive and person centred service, delivering the best client outcomes through supporting and optimising peoples recovery at home, meeting their physical, mental health and social care needs and bridging the transition between acute hospital, primary and community care settings.
- To be responsible for establishing and leading the provision of a defined area of nutrition and dietetics within the INCSNR and other contracted users of the service.
- To lead the dietetic provision of service using a high level of knowledge, skills and experience as an independent practitioner.
- To deliver a high quality, evidence based dietetic service to a specialised area. To act autonomously in the management of an adult caseload with a varying degree of nutritional complexity.
- To act as an expert nutritional resource within the defined specialist area and to educate and train patients and carers, dietetic students and other health professionals within the Trust.
- To contribute to the Trust’s clinical governance programme by taking a lead within the specialist area for audit, development and implementation of evidence based guidelines/protocols/policies and continuing professional development.

- BSc (Hons) Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics / post graduate diploma or equivalent
- Registration with the HCPC
- Member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA)
- Teaching and training skills eg. clinical supervisory skills/ training for student training/ communication skill training / counselling skills training
- Experience in specialist field to master’s level or equivalent
- Member of relevant specialist interest groups
