Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Senior Reporting Analyst role is joint across KCH and GSTT. The two Trusts share a Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) and a vision for digital services that are lean and agile, that maximise the benefits of a shared service operating model, and deliver the digital ambition for both Trusts. This ambition is supported by a forward-looking and strategic approach, and significant investment in a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) which will catalyse a programme of work across both Trusts to transform the way technology and data is used across our services.
The successful applicant will develop NHS operational and clinical reporting from Epic Cogito front-end tools, Reporting Workbench, Radar, and SlicerDicer, as well as by querying our Caboodle data warehouse using SQL. To achieve this they’ll work closely with the ITCS teams which support Epic applications; informatics departments in partner organisations; data warehouse teams; and end-users across every staff group to provide advice and guidance, develop reports and analytics solutions in Epic and to support using the Cogito tools. Furthermore, they will engage in a team-based development process designed around agile methodologies and collaborate in a formal system of change management to enable safe transition of information products and systems from design to operation.
Understanding of NHS operations and Trust data needs are essential to this role.
Obtaining and maintaining Epic accreditation in the Cogito module is essential. If you do not have a Cogito accreditation, you will be expected to obtain one within the first few months in this role.
Please note this role requires hybrid working and will necessitate travel between Guy's and St. Thomas', King's College Hospital and Royal Brompton and Harefield sites.
