Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota and cover colleagues’ leave/sickness.
Deliver outpatient clinics, including at peripheral hospitals where required.
Undertake protective interventions in line with evidence-based practice and patient safety standards.
Contribute to consultant-led 7-day services.
Provide clinical supervision to junior medical/dental staff.
Exercise professional leadership within the specialty.
Support staff productivity, development, and job satisfaction.
Contribute to appraisal processes for peers and junior colleagues.
Carry out teaching, examination, and accreditation duties.
Contribute to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Maintain personal professional development.
Support the ongoing education and training of colleagues.
Participate in clinical governance initiatives.
Contribute to audit programmes, Morbidity & Mortality reviews, and Learning from Deaths.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control policies.
Work within the agreed service operating plan and contracted activity levels.
Contribute to research in line with the Trust’s R&D framework.
Participate in the development and monitoring of the Care Group Business Plan.
Engage in service planning and discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
